EUGENIA ZINOVIEVA
Eugenia Zinovieva has been a co-director of RIWCP since January 2019. She danced professionally with Festival Ballet Providence for nine years, performing principal roles in full-length classical ballets such as Swan Lake, The Firebird, and The Little Mermaid, as well as neoclassical and contemporary works by world class choreographers including George Balanchine, Annabelle Lopez Ochoa, Viktor Plotnikov, Christopher Wheeldon, and Yury Yanowsky. She has also enjoyed a varied freelance performing career, appearing with companies such as Quixotic Cirque, North Atlantic Ballet, the Kansas City Dance Festival, City Ballet of Boston.
Eugenia's ballet training was completed at Boston Ballet School, University of North Carolina School of the Arts, and SLK Ballet in New York City. She also competed nationally as a rhythmic gymnast before choosing to focus on classical ballet. The inaugural RI Women's Choreography Project in 2018 was the first opportunity that she had to choreograph, and since then, her work has also been set at Festival Ballet Providence, New Bedford Ballet and SLK Ballet. In Spring 2021, she was a recipient of the Dance Fund Grant through New England Foundation for the Arts. Most recently, Eugenia choreographed her first children's ballet, Gwendolyn the Graceful Pig, for Festival Ballet Providence.

During the years of 2012-2016, Eugenia learned about management and marketing as the assistant manager of a spa. In 2017, she spent a summer as the performance and outreach coordinator for the Tony Williams Ballet. Currently, she is pursuing a degree in Economics from Brown University and working as a faculty member at New Bedford Ballet.
Eugenia also enjoys hiking, reading, going to the beach, and traveling.
